Trenton dirt bike rider, 28, dies after crash on Lacey Township's Bryant Road

The Halloween crash on an unpaved part of the road involved only the rider, who died at a Stafford Township hospital. Police have not named him or said what caused it.

LACEY TOWNSHIP — A 28-year-old Trenton man died after crashing a dirt bike on an unpaved stretch of Bryant Road in Lacey Township on Oct. 31, police said, according to Jersey Shore Online and Patch.

No other vehicle or person was involved in the Halloween crash, both outlets reported. The rider was brought to Southern Ocean Medical Center, a hospital in Stafford Township, and his injuries proved fatal there.

Police from neighboring Ocean Township notified Lacey officers of the crash at about 5:14 p.m., the outlets reported. Patch identified that department as Waretown police; Waretown is a section of Ocean Township. Investigators then determined that the spot where the rider went down lies within Lacey.

Jersey Shore Online reported that Ocean Township officers and Waretown EMS went to the scene. That outlet alone also reported that the Lacey police Fatal Accident Support Team is leading the inquiry, with help from Ocean Township police and the Ocean County Sheriff's Office.

Lacey police made the details public in a news release, Patch reported. Police had not released the rider's name or a cause for the crash, according to both outlets.
